I Refuse to Participate 5/5 (32)

Every now and then you receive exactly the message you need to hear. That happened to me today, and I hope it happens to you as well. I know that for some of you, this is EXACTLY the message you need to hear.

About three years ago, when economic conditions took a turn for the worse, I made the conscious decision NOT to participate in this recession. I know from my business education that Economics is really just the study of human behavior, and that we humans get to CHOOSE our behavior. Recessions come and go, so I decided to just sit this one out.

The practical application of my decision meant that I would have to work smarter and provide even more value in the marketplace than ever before. In other words, the key to MY economic survival boiled down to doing all I can to serve YOU. If I provide you with the value and tools you need to run a successful practice, prosperity follows for us both.

I wrote quite a bit about this topic in 2008 and 2009, but I haven’t written much about it lately. I think we all assumed the economy would have improved much more by now than it has. Nevertheless, my business has survived and even thrived because my decisions have FORCED me to work harder and smarter while providing you incredible value for your money.

That’s not to say I haven’t been discouraged at times. I’d like a break as much as anybody else. I’d love to put the business on “autopilot” and just be able to relax a bit. But in this economic climate, that’s just not an option. Heck, I’d also like free chocolate kisses raining from the sky. But that’s not an option either.

So through the continual innovation and perspiration, I’ll admit I was feeling a little discouraged today. I was, that is, until I got the phone call…

He was a new AcuGraph user who was so absolutely excited about AcuGraph he just couldn’t stop gushing. And he was thrilled to finally have an evidence base for his work–an evidence base he could use to attract new patients, convince current patients, and prove the value of his services. He absolutely loved the idea that rather than avoiding discussions about how and why his treatments worked, he could embrace such discussions–whether with patients, potential patients, or even other practitioners. In short, AcuGraph is EXACTLY what he was looking for, and he was converted.

He totally loves what he does, and he is excited to go to work every day. AcuGraph has re-kindled that fire that made him a healer in the first place. That made my day.

Know what else makes my day? He’s not the only story like that. Even in this tough economy, I REGULARLY hear from AcuGraph users who are using our tools to build successful, thriving practices. I recently talked to a practitioner who graphed 84 potential patients at a health fair and produced a HUGE influx of new patients to his practice. Then, I spoke to a guy in Florida last week who is opening a second practice location and hiring additional acupuncturists because he has been so busy. I hear testimonial after testimonial from AcuGraph users who have doubled, even tripled their practice volume by leveraging their AcuGraph investment.

But the guy today summed it up best when he said, “The price I paid for AcuGraph really is just Pennies compared to what it brings in.” I really can’t say it any better than that.

A recession happens when consumers lose confidence in the economy, and consequently spend less, thereby bringing about exactly what they feared. Is consumer confidence still down? Yes, it is. But you know what else is down? Confidence in the medical establishment. More than ever before, patients want real answers and real solutions to their health issues, and they’re searching for them in alternative medicine. They’re searching for YOU.

So get out there and find them. If you have an AcuGraph system and you’re not using it to market your practice, you’re missing its true potential. Want more patients next week? Grab your AcuGraph and go do a public screening this week. Need a location? Try the local health food store. It really is that simple, and it really does work. If you need some coaching, check out our online marketing training. We know exactly what works and we want to help you.

If you don’t yet own an AcuGraph, the sooner you make the investment, the sooner you’ll get the results.

Most of all, don’t give in to economic negativity. You get what you truly expect to get. So expect success and then make it happen.

Meanwhile, I’ll be right here, developing new products, enhancing current products, and seeking even more powerful ways to support your practice success. Recession still not over? That’s OK. I wasn’t participating anyway.
