Acupuncture & Social Networking? 5/5 (38)

I’m sure many of you are into social networking. Did you know Miridia Technology has a Facebook page? Of course we do, because we are THE technology company for acupuncturists–and we love to communicate with our practitioners through modern technology!

I love that I get paid to “socialize” and become friends with our practitioners. I have friends all over the world. It’s so much fun when I go to an acupuncture convention and practitioners come up and introduce themselves! It feels like I KNOW them because we’ve connected via the weekly blog, e-mail or through an Acupuncture Today article. It’s been fun to further connect through our Facebook page as well.

Recently, Dr. Larsen and I were involved in a really big Facebook conversation with a group of acupuncturists who had questions about AcuGraph, its reliability and how it works. This opened up the opportunity to talk to several practitioners who have heard about us, but were not AcuGraph owners.

One of the questions that a practitioner posted to Dr. Larsen was this:

Why do you believe so few acupuncturists are either unaware of, or uninvolved with, AcuGraph or similar units?

For a moment, I was surprised. Why are so few acupuncturists aware of AcuGraph?!?!? Are you kidding me? We have a huge following of practitioners on our blog, and literally thousands of practitioners around the world own AcuGraph, so this question just didn’t make sense to me. Not to mention the huge following of practitioners who follow us through e-mail.

Then I remembered…there was a time when I didn’t know about AcuGraph either. Once I heard about it, I was skeptical too. After all–I did have a Master’s degree in “Traditional Chinese Medicine” which made me know EVERYTHING, right? We laugh about that here at the office now.

I really was taught that I knew everything that I needed to know to go out and conquer the world when I graduated college. What I didn’t understand at the time was that my college education was just enough to get me started.

Honestly, most of us learned very basic traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) theory while in college. Why? Because this is what you have to know to pass the exams! It doesn’t matter what type of practitioner you want to be when you grow up–you have to understand the traditional theories of tongue, pulse and pattern diagnosis to get licensed.

The truth of the matter is, once we are done with college, most of us begin the infamous journey of taking CEU events to find the ‘right style’ that works for us. It took a while once I graduated from college to learn this concept. I have found that there are wonderful practitioners around the world who are getting amazing results with their patients–and they are using more than the basic TCM skills I learned in school. I can’t believe I was so naive…

Thanks to Miridia Technology, I have had the opportunity to continue my education into the world of modern scientific acupuncture technology, which has been life-changing for my own clinic. I can shout it from the rooftops because of the amazing results I have in my own practice due to AcuGraph. But, I’m not the only one with a great story to tell. Lucky for me, I have the privilege of hearing your experiences on a daily basis. I’m continually inspired by your success stories!

Because we are friends, I have a favor to ask…

If you are a Facebooker, will you please get involved in helping to share AcuGraph with other practitioners? There are a lot of acupuncturists who have heard about us, but don’t really know who we are or what we do.

There are others who are skeptical, like I was, to the idea of considering that modern technology can be a helpful tool in their practice. I’ve learned that some of you were skeptical too. Remember when you were making your decision to purchase AcuGraph? Wouldn’t it have been helpful to talk to other practitioners who owned it and were getting good results?

Here is what we would like you to do–in two easy steps:

#1: Pound our Facebook page! Yes, you heard me correctly. We want you to LIKE us on Facebook. When you “like” a page, it makes the page accessible to hundreds of additional people! Click Here!

#2: Share your AcuGraph testimonials on our Facebook page. What do you love about your AcuGraph? How has it helped you in your practice? Why were you hesitant at first, and what changed your mind!

Thank you for your friendship! Will you please help us to share the value of AcuGraph with acupuncturists who are looking…but might still be skeptical of modern technology in the acupuncture clinic? Your testimonial can make a difference!

**By the way–we want to “LIKE” your business on Facebook too. If you have a business Facebook page, please respond to this post with a link to your page so that Miridia Technology can follow you too.**

Thanks so much and I’ll see you on the BLOG–and on FACEBOOK!
