If you didn’t get to attend the 8th International Symposium Of Auriculotherapy in Baltimore last month, you really missed out. There were top-name international speakers, outstanding presentations, and the latest products and tools for auriculotherapy. Congratulations to everyone who put so much work into organizing this event!
I was particularly pleased to see the most up-and-coming trend in auriculotherapy technology. You’ll never guess what it was!
OK, if you know me or you’re aware of my work, you probably already guessed. It’s 3D. As in three-dimensional ear modeling. That’s right. The two-dimensional, flat charts just aren’t good enough anymore, now that computer technology makes live, real-time 3D technology so available.
I watched Dr. Terry Oleson’s excellent presentation on the 3D model he’s been building. In case you didn’t know, his Fourth Edition Auriculotherapy Manual is now available and it includes 3D renderings of ears for better point visualization. He’s done a great job.
Winfried Wojak from Germany also presented a proposal for a 3D system to precisely localize auricular acupoints.
I came away feeling pleased that the discipline of Auriculotherapy is increasingly recognizing the need for three-dimensional modeling of the auricle for the most precise point location and best treatment outcomes.
Of course, I felt glad to be ahead of the cutting edge with the only commercially available, three-dimensional auriculotherapy reference on the market. We developed and began marketing Auriculo 3D more than two years ago, and it’s perpetually one of our most popular products.
Because it fulfills an important need and makes auriculotherapy MUCH faster, easier and more effective. If you’re not using Auriculotherapy in your practice, or if you’re still flipping through books and charts to find points, I highly recommend you check out Auriculo 3D!
