Have You Seen the Studies on Weight Loss? 5/5 (39)

Hello Friends,

Beautiful woman having acupuncture.

Have you seen the studies on Auriculotherapy for weight loss? Here are a few more gems to share with your patients:

auriculotherapy for weight loss

1. Study of 91 Korean women showed a 6% decrease in BMI using auricular acupuncture over 8 weeks. The women were divided into 3 groups: 5 auricular treatment points, 1 auricular treatment point, and 5-point sham treatment. Both of the groups receiving true treatment showed significant decrease in BMI, while those receiving sham acupuncture did not.

2. Study of 49 Korean college students using ear seeds showed a significant decrease in BMI and weight, while the control group did not. Study participants used stick-on seeds over a 4 week period.

3. A Study of Ear Seeds vs. Magnetic Pearls in 56 young adults showed that both methods are effective for weight loss, but ear seeds performed slightly better than magnetic pearls.

4. Auricular acupuncture helped decrease body weight in obese subjects, and even in non-obese, healthy subjects.

There are many approaches to weight loss. Calorie restriction, low carb, low fat, exercise, even drugs and surgery. But no matter which approach your patients are using, auricular treatment makes it better!
