This Quick Patient Education Tip could Save you Time AND Make you Money! 5/5 (16)

Patient Education is Important.

I’m about to teach an invaluable patient education tip. Something smart, simple, and SOOOO incredibly effective for attracting new acupuncture patients. Who is included in your circle of influence? Are you using personalized brochures to educate your circle of influence?

I know what you are thinking… Designing a personalized brochure for your clinic is a lot of work. Many acupuncturists don’t have the time or the skillset to create awesome personalized brochures.

Here’s the good news…. The hard work is done. We already did it for you.

We have amazing, professional brochures to help you in your clinic. These brochures are not run of the mill. We have YOU in mind when we create these resources. Our brochures are specifically designed to help you easily promote your clinic.

Time Management Tip: This is a LIFESAVER!

Lately, I’ve been working to create better time management systems in my clinic. One of my problems is that I like to talk to people. When I talk too much, I get behind in my schedule.

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make a big difference. Who knew that something as simple as having these personalized brochures in the reception area would help me solve my time management problems?

Problem: Q&A on a Busy Day

I share a reception area with several other medical practitioners, so we get a lot of traffic flow. Not everyone that comes through the reception area is there for acupuncture. So, naturally, it’s normal for the “other patients” to see me and want to know who I am and what I do. That’s when my love for talking to people gets me into trouble…

Let’s face it. Meeting an acupuncturist is a really a fun and unique opportunity. It’s normal for anyone who meets us to be intrigued and excited for the opportunity to ask questions! Patient education is vital for a thriving practice. This isn’t a bad thing. Like I said… I love talking about acupuncture. The problem for me is that too much random chitchatting in the lobby throws me off schedule.

Solution: Personalized Brochures

Putting my personalized brochures in the lobby has helped tremendously. Now, instead of answering random questions about whether or not acupuncture “really works” and discussing the many types of services I offer—I give a quick, friendly smile and introduction, then I hand them one of my informational brochures. They take care of the patient education for me.

Of course, you know what happens next…

  • They read it
  • They take it home
  • Then, they call my receptionist
  • She answers their questions
  • And—they book an appointment

Ingenious, right?

Personalizing Your Brochures

Here’s another bit of really good news. Personalizing your brochure is EASY—even if you aren’t computer savvy.

Have you ever noticed that each of our brochures has an empty space on the back? We designed it this way intentionally so that practitioners like you have space to place a personalized label with your clinic’s information.

If you want to do it really quickly and easily, you can simply staple a business card to the back, or use an old-fashioned ink stamp with your clinic’s information.

I like to use a label because it allows me a little more creativity. I’d love to teach you how I designed labels for the back of my brochures in just 20 minutes.

Step 1: Order Brochures from Miridia Technology

First things first, right? We did all the creative work so you don’t have to. Choose the brochures that best represent your treatment style.

**Lucky for you, our brochures are on sale right now! Normally $45 for 100 brochures, they’re only $35 through Monday, February 24th. You pick the design!

Step 2: Buy Labels

You can go into a store or do it online. I recommend going to this Avery website. They make the process really easy. You’ll have a personalized template with your clinic’s information in no time! Here are the dimensions you need.

  • Rectangle
  • 2″ x 2-5/8″

NOTE: You could also choose 2′ x 3″, but I didn’t.  I got nearly twice as many labels on one sheet with the 2″ x 2-5/8″ labels. Why print eight labels on a sheet when you can print fifteen? I’m all about saving time and money!

  • Avery Template PrestaⓇ 94235

Step 3: Create a Label Template

Typically, when you purchase your box of labels through Avery, they will give you a link to make your label template online, at the Avery website. Otherwise, you can go to the Avery website if you purchase labels in-store, and search for the template number on the box you purchased.

If you are buying an off-brand label, they may not have an easy way to design your labels like Avery.

Here’s the information I put in my template:

  • Clinic Logo
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Website

Step 4: Save the Template to a PDF

Once you save your template in the online Avery template builder, you will be guided you through the process of creating a PDF. You’ll want to save the PDF to your computer so you can use it in the future.

Step 5: Print, Peel, Stick

Put the labels into your printer (make sure they’re facing the right way for your particular printer model), open the PDF you saved with your designed labels, and print the PDF directly onto your labels.

Then, peel and stick your custom labels on the back of any of our brochures. Easy, right?

Let the Magic Happen

Once you put your amazing, beautiful, professional, PERSONALIZED brochures out on the counter something magical happens. They disappear…

That’s a good thing! Now there are personalized brochures floating all around town, promoting YOU. It’s practice marketing AND patient education… at the same time!

Like I said. Smart, simple and SOOOO incredibly effective
