Every Visit?

Do I have to graph my patient every visit?

It’s another question I get a lot. Some practitioners think that by adding AcuGraph to their practice, they’ll somehow become a slave to a machine–forced to run a graph before every treatment–unable to think for themselves.

Of course, this isn’t true.

Here’s what I recommend: Graph the patient on the first visit to establish a baseline. Then–and this is important–graph on the second visit to show the changes that have already taken place. This helps your patient understand that your treatment is working and they have made the right decision.

After these initial two graphs, you can choose your frequency. Yes, I do know users who graph every time. It helps them closely track progress, and patients appreciate the thorough approach.

On the other hand, some users only graph on follow-up exams, after 6 or even 12 visits. The point is that you can choose exactly how you will use AcuGraph in your practice.

Me? I recommend about every 3 visits. I make this recommendation from experience. With proper treatment, your patient is likely making some rather rapid changes. Tracking those changes means you can render the most effective treatment every time. And patients always appreciate the feeling that you are careful and thorough in your approach.

The good news is that each exam takes only 2 minutes, and can even be performed by a trained assistant. So adding AcuGraph to your practice doesn’t slow you down. In fact, in most cases, it actually speeds up your patient visits because you spend less time answering questions and explaining what you’re doing.

How will YOU use AcuGraph in your practice?

This new technology has allowed me the convenience of reducing my evaluation time to 1/10 of what it used to be, effectively reducing my objective findings examination for office visits to a fraction of pre AcuGraph use. I’ve been able to address and eliminate conditions from chronic fibromyalgia and diabetes to infertility and E.D.

I use AcuGraph on every patient I see.

    1. As stated in the post, how often you graph is up to you. Dr. Larsen mentioned that he always graphs on the first and second visit, and then graphs every third visit or so. I like to graph on every visit and treat based on the the imbalances for that day. The choice is yours. Each exam only takes about 2 minutes of the practitioners time.

  1. I am very pleased to say that in CHIREN Therapy Centre in Ireland, we are using AcuGraph on every visit. we are able to obtain all the benefit described by you guys and we can identify the many different group of syndromes like high, normal or low QI syndromes as well as specific meridian related conditions. Based on this experience we are preparing a clinical apply training module using AcuGraph as a biomarker indicator.
