Also concerning is the lack of effective treatment methods for back pain. NSAIDs and even opioids are often prescribed to manage the pain, but fail to address the underlying cause, and can even lead to dangerous addiction. In fact, drug overdose is the leading causes of accidental death in the United States, with opioids being the most common drug used.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

But here’s the good news. There are many alternative options for back pain receiving attention in recent years, thanks to the failure of opioids, including acupuncture. In fact, Medicare and Medicade just added acupuncture to their list of insurance-covered treatments for back pain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
