It&#8217;s an exciting subject, and a lot of practitioners are sharing some amazing results they&#8217;ve achieved with this treatment.\u00a0<strong>The Kidney Return protocol is extremely helpful when patient has low energy levels.<\/strong> It&#8217;s designed to rally up and redistribute the Kidney Qi, which makes your treatment more effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em><strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If you aren&#8217;t familiar with the Kidney Return Protocol, I&#8217;d suggest you go back and read my last blog post on the subject. General good health for his age. Type 2 diabetes with neuropathy. He experienced numbness, without pain, in both feet, atrophy of the right foot (from <strong>neuropathy<\/strong>) and <strong>arthritis<\/strong> in both hands with pain that came and went. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">He described his all over pain as debilitating<\/span> and rated it at a <strong>7\/10.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Noteworthy:<\/strong> <em>He has had 4 back surgeries. Obviously there were a lot of imbalances. I decided that because this patient&#8217;s average was so low, and because he is elderly, I&#8217;d focus his first treatment on the <strong>Kidney Return Protocol<\/strong>. This treatment uses very few needles and is <strong>effective for strengthening Kidney Essence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment Plan #1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I had the patient lay face down. I then attached ion pumping cords to the recommended treatment points.<\/li><li><strong>I used 4 ion pumping cords.<\/strong><\/li><li>The goal was to pull energy from <strong>BL 40<\/strong> and redistribute it to <strong>BL 23<\/strong> and <strong>BL 11.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><li>To supplement this treatment, I also did some &#8220;surround the dragon&#8221; work with the scar on his spine.<\/li><li>Once the needles were inserted and ion pumping cords were attached, the patient laid on the table under a heat lamp for approximately <strong>30 minutes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Graph #2<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1296\" height=\"890\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Case-Study-Graph-Comparison.png\" alt=\"kidney return\" class=\"wp-image-21798\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Case-Study-Graph-Comparison.png 1296w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Case-Study-Graph-Comparison-300x206.png 300w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Case-Study-Graph-Comparison-768x527.png 768w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Case-Study-Graph-Comparison-1024x703.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1296px) 100vw, 1296px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The patient returned for treatment 5 days later. <strong>I was happy to see that the average had risen from 33 to 55!<\/strong> I was equally happy that his body had begun adjusting. Notice how the second graph has a lot more green. There were fewer imbalances to address, which made it easier for me to fine-tune my treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Graph Analysis #2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s analyze graph #2. <strong>Because there are fewer imbalances, it&#8217;s easier to analyze the root cause of this patient&#8217;s problem.<\/strong> For this analysis, we will look at the graph via the Energy Cycle view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1094\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Energy-Cycle-1.png\" alt=\"kidney return\" class=\"wp-image-21814\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Energy-Cycle-1.png 2048w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Energy-Cycle-1-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Energy-Cycle-1-768x410.png 768w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Protocol-Energy-Cycle-1-1024x547.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at this graph from two different perspectives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"533\" height=\"348\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Muscle-Pathways.png\" alt=\"kidney return\" class=\"wp-image-21816\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Muscle-Pathways.png 533w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Muscle-Pathways-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>First Perspective: The\u00a0muscle meridians<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>There is excess in <strong>both<\/strong> the Small Intestine and Bladder meridians\u2014<em>with a deficiency in the Kidney immediately following.\u00a0<\/em><\/li><li>My analysis of the excess in the Small Intestine and Bladder meridians was blood stagnation. Palpation of the muscular pathways confirmed my theory.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>It&#8217;s hard to strengthen the Kidney meridian if the two pathways before it are holding on to excess chi.<\/strong><\/li><li>We need the Small Intestine and Bladder channels to <strong>&#8220;let go&#8221;<\/strong> of some of their excess in order for the Kidney to resolve it&#8217;s deficit.\u00a0<br\/><\/li><li><strong>We also need to strengthen the Kidney meridian in the process.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>My treatment plan is nearly formulated, all except for the deficiency in the Lung meridian. I ask the patient if he has been ill. He says no. I decide to take a look at the internal pathways to see if I can make some type of a connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"521\" height=\"340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Internal-Pathways.png\" alt=\"kidney return\" class=\"wp-image-21817\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Internal-Pathways.png 521w, https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/Kidney-Return-Internal-Pathways-300x196.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 521px) 100vw, 521px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mce_61\"><strong>Second Perspective: The Internal Pathways<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You can gain a lot of insight by analyzing the internal pathways.<\/strong> Often the internal pathways can help you to make sense of other imbalances in the graph. The relationship of internal pathways can also give you good insight into extra points to add to your treatment plan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The internal aspect of the Kidney meridian affects both the Lung and the Kidney. \u00a0I surmise that strengthening the Kidney will also help to strengthen the Lung. \u00a0<\/li><li>The patient also underwent spinal fusion of a portion of the thoracic spine and all of his lumbar vertebrae. It makes sense that there could be a deficiency based on scar tissue blockages which matched the internal aspect of the Kidney meridian.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Governing Vessel 14. Notice that it is a crossing point for both the Small Intestine and Bladder Meridians&#8230;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li><li>Here is what I know about Governing Vessel 14. It is a crossing point for all six of the yang meridians:\u00a0<strong>SI, LI, TE, BL, GV<\/strong> and <strong>ST.<\/strong> It&#8217;s great to strengthen the Wei Qi, which is helpful in this case because the Lung pathway is weak. It also has an effect on bone \u00a0issues, arthritis, and hand issues.\u00a0<\/li><li>I decide that Governing Vessel 14 is a valuable point for today&#8217;s treatment.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment Plan #2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After analyzing the graph from multiple perspectives I chose the treatment plan that made the most sense for the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Rapid Release<\/strong>:<ul><li>I didn&#8217;t use the Rapid Release on the first visit, because I felt that the patient was too deficient. On this visit it made more sense.<\/li><li>I used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rapidreleaseacupuncture.com\" target=\"_blank\">Rapid Release vibrational therapy<\/a> on the Small Intestine and Bladder muscular pathways <strong>to resolve chronic qi and blood stagnation<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Tonify the Kidney:<\/strong>\u00a0I chose Kidney 7 simply because it is the tonification point of the channel.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Governing Vessel 14:<\/strong> There were many reasons to add this point. Crossing point, arthritis, sea of qi, hand issues, wei qi, etc.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Surround the Dragon:<\/strong> Next I did a surround the dragon approach to help resolve stagnation at his scar.\u00a0<\/li><li><strong>Back Shu Points:<\/strong> As I was surrounding the dragon, I realized that I could use the Back Shu Points for the Small Intestine, Bladder and Kidney channels in the process. Once I was done I decided to also add the Back Shu Points of the LU just to keep everything perfectly balanced.\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final Analysis<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I have two take-home messages for this post&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I hope you<strong> recognize how valuable the Kidney Return protocol can be<\/strong> for just the right patient. It really is a great tool for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">boosting energy levels<\/span>. You won&#8217;t use it every time there is a <em>basic<\/em> Kidney channel deficiency, but it is really valuable when the energy levels are really low. <em><strong>Because I boosted the Kidney Qi on visit #1, I was able to create a more succinct treatment plan on visit #2.<\/strong><\/em><br\/><\/li><li>There is a lot of room for creativity within <a href=\"http:\/\/www.AcuGraph.com\" target=\"_blank\">AcuGraph<\/a>. Dig deeper. Look at relationships via the energy cycle, the muscular pathways, and the internal pathways.
