How is this possible? In Chinese medicine we do not treat the symptom\u2014but instead, we treat the imbalance causing the symptom to occur. The pattern responsible for both hemorrhoids and depression in TCM is Spleen Qi Sinking.<\/p>\n<h4>The spleen channel energy has many functions.<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/spleen-energy.jpg\" alt=\"spleen energy\" width=\"564\" height=\"1410\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transforms food and fluids from the stomach<\/li>\n<li>Controls the blood<\/li>\n<li>Controls the muscles and the four limbs<\/li>\n<li>Controls the rising of qi\u2014which holds organs up<\/li>\n<li>Controls thoughts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Spleen Qi Sinking is caused by excessive Spleen Qi Deficiency. Hemorrhoids occur when spleen qi is not strong enough to hold the blood in the vessels. A patient who complains of depression with the pattern of Spleen Qi Sinking may describe their emotions with words such as \u201cdown in the dumps,\u201d unable to \u201clift\u201d their spirits, or feelings of heavy-heartedness.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miridiatech.com\/shop\/201-sp.html\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Bu Zhong Yi Qi Pian\u2014SP 201<\/strong> <\/span><\/a><\/span>is the classic formula for Spleen Qi Sinking. There can be many causes for depression in TCM, so I did a thorough evaluation to come up with a pattern diagnoses.
