It&#8217;s main function in Chinese medicine is to resolve &#8220;dampness&#8221;. &nbsp;Dampness is not a normal diagnostic term used in western medicine, but it is actually quite simple to understand. When the Spleen and the Stomach channels are working together digestion runs smoothly, water and&nbsp;nutrients&nbsp;are well absorbed, and the the body&nbsp;metabolizes food intake well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">When these two organs are not working&nbsp;in harmony, a phenomena known as &#8220;dampness&#8221; occurs. Excess water within the system doesn&#8217;t move well and the patient experiences symptoms such as edema, swelling, bloating, gas, diarrhea or constipation, brain fog, sluggishness, difficulty with urination, and aching in the limbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">This point will be very tender to touch when the patient is experiencing symptoms of &#8220;dampness&#8221;. &nbsp;It&#8217;s a great point for self diagnosis and wellness care.
