\"Spring<\/a>Spring brings Change!<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

I get very excited in Spring. The days get longer, the weather gets warmer, flowers start to bloom, and I create a long list of things I want to accomplish\u2013deep-cleaning, organizing, gardening, vacations, etc.<\/p>\n

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, whenever there is a seasonal change, the energetics in the atmosphere shift and the qi in our body shifts as well.<\/p>\n

You can think of the world as a macrocosm and the body as a microcosm. The changes that occur in the universe naturally occur in our bodies.<\/p>\n

Just like the change of seasons, our body is going to shift into the energy of Spring whether we want it to or not.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Winter is the most yin of the seasons and relates to suppression. Winter is dark, cold, slow, and inward in nature. Spring is the most yang of the seasons and relates to the Liver and Gallbladder. Nature explodes as Spring makes its entrance.<\/p>\n

You can well imagine how all sorts of emotions are literally BURSTING to be released. All too often these emotions culminate in feelings of anger.<\/p>\n

Let me tell you a “hypothetical” story about a mother in Springtime…<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

*****<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s just say you have a bunch of kids (maybe even nine). You’ve been cooped up inside for the winter\u2013ignoring your household responsibilities just a bit. It’s been cold and you didn’t feel like doing much\u2013thus your house is an absolute disaster.<\/p>\n

\"messy<\/a>Disorganization:<\/strong> Toys are unorganized, laundry is piled high, dishes all over the counter, piles of paperwork everywhere, leftover Christmas decorations are in the living room, craft projects are strewn around the house, the garage looks like a cyclone hit it, etc…<\/p>\n

Deep cleaning:<\/strong> The whole house is filthy\u2013because you have ignored it for the winter. Floors need to be scrubbed. Carpets need to be cleaned. Mattresses need to be aired out. The stove needs to be pulled apart and cleaned inside, outside, under, over, and behind. The refrigerator needs the same treatment as the stove.<\/p>\n

Then spring hits and you have a huge desire to deep clean\u2013TODAY!<\/strong><\/p>\n

You look around the house and become frustrated, even angry. Angry at the kids, irritated with your husband, and mad at yourself for allowing this to happen.<\/p>\n

Your body and brain are giving you the signals that it’s Spring and it’s time to clean. The truth of the matter is this. You just CAN’T. You don’t even know where to begin because everything is too unorganized for deep cleaning. So\u2013you go to your room and close the door…<\/p>\n

Let me tell you how this story relates to your patients.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Problem: Disorganization<\/strong><\/p>\n

Patients who take time off from acupuncture for a while are really out of balance. Their channels are “disorganized.” Digestion is off because they ate poorly through the holidays, they aren’t sleeping well, and their irritability gets a little worse. They might also be experiencing headaches, backache, and shoulder tension.<\/p>\n

Solution: Get Organized – with AcuGraph<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Once you’ve created order in the channels, you can then help your patients achieve their other goals such as fitness, weight loss, digestive cleansing, hormone balancing, infertility, etc.<\/p>\n

One thing to remember…<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s always easier to deep clean when the house is in order. Can you imagine our “hypothetical” mother of 9 trying to deep clean her house when everything was so unorganized? If she would have begun by deep cleaning, she would have driven herself and her family mad!<\/p>\n

Luckily, she didn’t. Instead, she went into her room and called her acupuncturist.<\/p>\n
