\"Adrian01\"<\/a>The year was 2002. My third daughter had just been born, and I was still a student.<\/strong> What was I doing with all those kids while still in school?<\/p>\n

Not sleeping much.<\/p>\n

See, the problem was that my newborn daughter wasn’t sleeping very well, and was keeping us up way too much at night, every night. So I took her to see one of my instructors, in hopes that acupuncture might help.<\/p>\n

(WHAT? Acupuncture on a baby? Relax…he assured me he had non-needle ways of treating.)<\/p>\n

Imagine my surprise when he started the visit by performing a meridian graphing exam! I was intrigued because I had been learning about meridian graphing in class, and now I was seeing it in action–and on a baby, no less! How amazing.<\/p>\n

From that moment I was hooked. When I realized there was an objective way to locate meridian imbalances with a 2-minute test, and it would even work on a baby, I knew this was what I wanted to do. True story!<\/p>\n

So when I wondered aloud why the process wasn’t computerized, and my instructor replied that he sure wished someone would build better equipment and incorporate computers to do it right. For some reason, I blurted out, “I’ll do it!” and AcuGraph was born.<\/p>\n

I walked into his clinic with one newborn, and walked out with two.<\/p>\n

So why did I tell you this story?<\/h3>\n

Because I get asked from time to time whether AcuGraph can be used on infants and children. The answer I give is always a resounding YES, and I sometimes throw in this little story about my daughter. (She’s now 11 by the way, and was later joined by two more sisters and a brother, for a total of 7 kids!)<\/p>\n

So if you aren’t treating children in your practice, I think you should reconsider. AcuGraph is a wonderful tool to help children of all ages!<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, here’s my youngest daughter, who asked me for a needle when she observed me treating her mother. She’s 4 years old, and very proud of herself. “It didn’t even hurt, Daddy!” Who says acupuncture isn’t for kids?<\/p>\n
