Imagine what you might learn from measuring 2.4 million acupuncture points...
As you know, our complete support package sets the standard for secure data storage and protection, as well as providing free updates and extended warranty protection. But it does something else, too: as our customers back up their data for safe keeping on our servers, it centralizes all our customers’ patient data in one secure location. As I was reviewing our customer backups the other day, I noticed that we have records of over 25,000 AcuGraph® examinations on our server. That’s over 600,000 individual acupuncture points measured.
As you might imagine, I was excited to know that our equipment has helped so many people. But I was even more excited when I thought about what might be learned from this data. Imagine…over 25,000 examinations, all taken on the same set of points with the same equipment. This may be the largest electronic acupuncture database ever assembled.
Ever wonder what the average reading for a 47-year-old female is? Ever wonder if the average reading for a man’s liver meridian is different than the average for a woman's? Do you know exactly how much readings decline with age? Any idea what percentage of teenagers have splits in their small intestine meridians? All these questions and a thousand more can be answered by examining this data in depth. And that’s what we propose to do.
Ok, I'll admit the title of this article is really a
bad pun, considering the patient's symptoms. But
this was one of the most interesting cases I've
seen.
I was at a trade show in Florida demonstrating the
AcuGraph® system when a
woman approached me and asked if I thought a graph
might shed some light on her case of Bell's Palsy. I
replied that it very well might, and I questioned
her a bit about her case.
She was 52 years old and had suffered complete
left-sided facial paralysis for approximately 2
years. She had all the classic signs of Bells,
including the inability to completely close her left
eye. The sudden onset of the paralysis occurred the
day after a root canal on a lower...
Reading it Right: How can I be sure that I'm getting the right reading?
AcuGraph® gives you amazing
power and flexibility in the order, method, and
timing of measuring the patients’ meridians. Yet,
with all these capabilities, the AcuGraph® system is only as
good as your ability to use these features properly.
So, in
response to
many inquiries, here's the good word on great
measurement technique...
Because AcuGraph® is flexible enough to measure Source (Yuan) Points, Tsing (Jing-well) Points, and Ryodoraku points, I often get asked which set of points is the most valid to measure. Each set has specific purposes and applications, and each is useful in the clinical setting.
So, to shed more light on the subject, here is a quick primer on measurement point selection...

This seminar will present high level speakers on information and energy medicine, EMF, modern
electroacupuncture and the new diagnostic HRV technology. The seminar is aimed at practitioners, doctors and
acupuncture specialists but it is open to anyone. We will dig into the theory, make sure we have time for
questions and answers, have an open workshop (comparing results and technology) and also receive training for
the usage of AcuGraph, Inergetix-CoRe and Dantest HRV (at the end of the seminar). This will be a seminar with
“hands on” and good visual presentations. Seeing is believing...
